Meet the latest talent of the Polycorne Team! We’re introducing you our new Community manager: Juliette
What’s your role at Polycorne?
Hey! I am the Community Manager of the team, and I also work on the social medias of SiliconCity. My job is to identify the different targets of the game in a first part, then carry out a data analysis to define which social networks to use and draft a communication headline in a second part. To summarize, I will do the link between the game development and the communication.
Why do you want to do that ?
Curious of how the production of a video game is done, I want to have an experience in a game development team.
Joining the Polycorn family appears to be a very good first experience for me, particularly an independent one working on it’s very first game. I want to help the team in being recognised in France as a strong independent game studio!
How did you join Polycorne, what’s your background story ?
It’s been 17 years now since I started playing video games on my own. The video game world has always been a passion for me, and I never stopped playing during my childhood. Before joining the Polycorne team, I studied 3 years at XP : The Business and Gaming School of Lyon. These 3 years of experience have given me a great knowledge in the fields of eSports, events, marketing and communication of the video game industry.
What is your favorite game of all time?
My favourite game is one of the Metroid Prime or Zelda games for sure. I’ve always been attracted by both universes, and it would be really hard for me to decide which one of the series is my favourite. I played at almost every Zelda game, and I also played 3 Metroid games, included the last one released on Nintendo Switch, Metroid Dread (which you should try). By the way, I can’t wait for the release of Metroid Prime 4!!
What is the game you played the most ?
I played a lot on all the Super Smash Bros. game series, especially Super Smash Bros. Melee. I am currently in an eSport team on the last game of the serie, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which is a very good competitive game for me. I like to kick my friends’ butts on it!
However, I used to spent a lot of time in Minecraft, playing with friends online or building my own universe ingame. When some friends were coming at home, we also used to play Mario Kart Double Dash (GameCube) or Super Mario Bros. for Wii (2009) all day. It’s still a pleasure for me today to play both of these games!
Do you remember the first you ever played ?
The veeeery first game I played was probably Adibou on Microsoft 64, when I was only 2 years old. I also used to play Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Crystal (Gameboy, 1999) a lot when I was very young, and I still love it! My big brother had a Gameboy Color with some games like Kirby’s Adventures, Zelda Four Seasons or Advance Wars on it, so I could play whenever I wanted. He also took me a bit on SSX3 or StarCraft when I was watching him playing with his friends.
One last word ?
Be like the flowing water, my friend !
